Yael van Dok

Short Bio

After several years of working in industry, I started at SEG in November 2022 as a teaching and research assistant. After assisting in Programming 2 and being involved in course preparations for both Compiler Construction and Software Engineering, my focus shifted to research and organisational work for the group.

I am SEG’s web master, and I take part in ongoing research efforts in the context of the Merge++ Research Project. In said context, I completed my Bachelor’s Thesis in 2023 and subsequently published my first paper based on that work at EASE 2024.

Currently, I am the Web Chair of the SE 2026 conference, which will take place in February 2026. Additionally, I am volunteering at ICST 25 in March 2025.

Apart from my work, I am a Master Student enrolled in the JMCS Study Program.
